For this first session of the Spring semester, CSO discussed the vocabulary for different legal sectors, trends in the legal market in hiring, and self-assessment tools. We then discussed a program called the “Right Profile” which each law student can use to get a sense of how their skills compare to other lawyers in practice and what practice areas they may fit with. The class also covered the Rochester Diversity Clerkship Program with Guest Speaker Duwaine Bascoe. The last section of the class was a hands-on workshop to begin to practice interviewing.
